Jumping straight into New York Fashion Week, I am liking Cushnie et Ochs take on something that is suited to the Summer season,with the fresh colours and floral prints. What I particularly like is how they've put a twist on it by opening with a black, gothic, dramatic piece and adding decapatated heads to the floral print.
Admittedly they are a label I have not heard of, although I will be interested what they come up with next season.
Those that know me are aware I am partial to a bit of drape and jersey, therefore this neutral number was a particular highlight of the collection.
I feel that the minimalism of labels such as Chloe and Celine may be influencing another season...we shall see....
I like how the clean, sculptural shape has almost been subverted doing the dress in a tough black leather, and for a Summer collection, I think this is refreshing, because lets face it, the Summers we have in England these days, dark colours seem more appropriate to match our glorious weather!!
