I'm not a pink person (depending on the shade however) so the tones that have come through over the past few days have taken my fancy, seeing as they are softer, feminine but not too overtly girlie. Turquoise has been mixed into palettes, such as Sonia Rykiel, which is another colour that has been coming through.
I visited New Orleans over the Summer; the architecture and general place was really interesting. The colours remind me of whats going on here, especially of the pictures I took of delapidated buildings.
One colour story from Sonia Rykiel. Some aspects of the collection weren't my particular taste, like the bows, but the colours and some of the sportier silhouettes were appealing. There were a few looks of turquoise, complimented by this burnt orange/cinnamon tone; really reminded me of my photographs.
Nude, coral and hints of yellow and mustard reappeared throughout, creating a really Spring/Summery palette, refreshing from all the white and black thats been around. The colour block sweaters mixed with other soild pieces worked and felt brand relevant.
Cacharel was another label who's colour palette is Spring/Summer appropriate, with the yellow and pink tones! The warm orange of the catwalk added to the Summer vibe. The clothes didn't blow me away; admittedly they are wearable and feminine in a non-flouncy, frilly way, which is nice!!
Anne Valerie Hash introduced muted grey, blues into the nude/flesh tone mix creating something feminine, desirable, wearable and soft. It wasn't over designed and felt considered.
